Sigma has announced a three new E-mount lenses at its Photokina 2018 press conference – two FE lenses for Sony’s lineup of full-frame cameras (28mm f/1.4 and 40mm f/1.4) and one lens aimed towards APS-C shooters (56mm f/1.4).
Both the new Sigma 40mm f/1.4 DG HSM and the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM offer excellent sharpness and beautiful bokeh. They should start shipping in October of 2018 and January of 2019, respectively.
Sigma also announced the 56mm f/1.4 DC DN, a portrait prime for Sony APS-C E-mount mirrorless cameras that should be affordable and offer great image quality. This lens is also available in the Micro Four Thirds mount, and sales are expected to begin in November.
Sigma will announce the pricing for all three lenses sometime in the near future.
