Fuji Announces Two New Lenses – GF 45-100mm F/4 and XC 35mm F/2

Along with the X-T200 entry-level mirrorless camera, Fujifilm has today announced two new lenses as well. The first is the GF 45-100mm f/4 R LM WR, a medium format lens for their GFX mirrorless system. This is a standard zoom lens (equivalent to a 36-79mm lens in the full-frame world), making it pretty useful for a variety of situations.

The lens has a linear AF motor with quick and fast AF performance, which is great for both photographers and videographers. The GF 45-100mm f/4 also comes with optical image stabilization. Just like you’d expect from a premium lens, it is weather-sealed and works at low temperatures (down to 14°F or -10°C). Finally, the lens is priced at $2,299 and should start shipping in February.

The second lens Fuji released today is built for amateur users. Fujifilm XC 35mm f/2 is the first prime in the company’s more affordable line of XC lenses. It is a very lightweight and small lens with a 53mm-equivalent focal length. This lens is a great option for people who never used a lens other than their kit lens. Of course, it is an autofocus lens and should be quick and precise, making it a solid option for photography as well as video. The lens will start shipping in February with a retail price of $199.
