Canon EOS R II Reportedly Being Tested by Photographers

Just a few days ago, there was a report that Canon is planning to release a 75MP mirrorless body named EOS Rs in the first quarter of 2020. According to a new report by Canon Rumors, the company is planning to announce another camera a few months later – the EOS R Mark II.

Apparently, the new camera is being tested by a small group of Canon professionals. No details regarding features are known at the moment, but the Canon Rumors’ source promised at least some specifications in the near future.

We recently asked some of our readers on Instagram what they’d like to see from the future EOS R camera and the two most common answers were IBIS (in-body image stabilization) and 1080p at 120 fps. Hopefully, Canon will listen and include these features. Ideally, we’d also love to see 4K video recording with no crop and dual UHS-II card slots. However, we’ll have to wait at least several months to see what Canon has in store for us. The source claims that the EOS R II will likely be announced ahead of Photokina in May.
