Earlier today, Canon Australia published a press release detailing several important features of the upcoming EOS R5 mirrorless camera.
Canon confirmed that the camera will be able to shoot 8K video in full-frame at up to 30 fps internally. On top of this, Canon’s excellent Dual Pixel autofocus will work while recording 8K as well.
The Japanese company also announced that the EOS R5 will feature “advanced animal AF – recognizing dogs, cats and birds, relying not only on the eyes of the animal but also the face and body for situations when the eyes are not visible.”
As we previously mentioned, Canon is planning to release the EOS R5 before the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in July.
