If you’re looking for the best landscape lens for Canon APS-C mirrorless cameras with EF-M mount (EOS M6 Mark II, EOS M5, EOS M50, EOS M200 etc.), you’re at the right spot. This is our favorite choice:
Best Choice – Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6
Wide-angle zoom lenses are favorite among landscape photographers, and the EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 is currently the best lens for Canon EOS M cameras that meets this criteria. This is essentially an 18-35mm equivalent lens, which means it gets pretty wide allowing you to capture some unique perspectives.
The EF-M 11-22mm certainly isn’t a very fast lens, being f/4 at the widest focal length, meaning that it isn’t the best option for astrophotography and lowlight shooting. However, it shines during the day, especially because most landscape photographers choose to stop down their lens in order to get sharper images. Speaking of sharpness, this lens is quite good considering how compact it is. It also features optical image stabilization, which helps produce sharper images when shooting handheld.
There’s some vignetting and barrel distortion (especially on the wide end), but this is definitely not uncommon in wide-angle zooms. All things considered, we believe this is an excellent landscape lens for EOS M cameras that also serves well for travel photography as well.
