Sony has today introduced two new lenses for their popular line of full-frame E-mount cameras. First lens, a compact and lightweight 85mm F1.8, is a great option for any enthusiast photographer looking to capture beautiful portraits. This budget lens is a welcome edition to the FE system, since it is much more affordable than Zeiss Batis 85mm F1.8 or Sony 85mm F1.4 G Master lens.
The second lens Sony introduced today is part of the company’s flagship G Master series – a 100mm F2.8 STF OSS mid-telephoto lens. It is a specialty lens that features an apodization filter, which helps deliver incredible bokeh. The lens also has 11 aperture blades that guarantee perfectly round bokeh balls.
Both lenses are expected to start shipping this March. The new FE F1.8 lens will be available for $598, while the 100MM F2.8 STF is going to be much pricer, coming in at $1,498.
